Microsoft African Development Centre Opens In Ikoyi, Lagos

Microsoft has officially opened its African Development Centre in Ikoyi, Lagos to enable technology transfer to Africans.

The opening of the centre was attended by dignitaries from far and near including the Governor of Lagos State Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu.

Mr. Sanwo-olu in a remark said his administration was willing to work with more tech companies for robust development of technology and engineering in the state.

He stated that “Lagos embraces Big Tech and our state continues to play a role in strategically enabling businesses in Africa.


“This centre will support the development of technology and engineering solution driven by world-class African talent.
Now is the time to get excited about tech and take learning opportunities as they open up.

“We invite other top players in the ecosystem to tap into the talent opportunity by setting up here as we continue to provide enabling infrastructure and regulation.
