Mr. David Umahi has seized from being the Governor of Ebonyi State. He was sacked alongside his deputy, Dr. Kelechi Igwe for defecting to the All Progressive Party, APC.
This was the decision of a Federal High Court today in Abuja.
Justice Inyang Ekwo ruled that Umahi and his deputy should immediately stop parading themselves as Ebonyi State Government and Deputy Governor respectively.
Ekwo in the judgement held that the votes cast for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the March 9, 2019 governorship election in the state are not transferable to the APC that failed the election
