Armed Robbers Attack Bank In Edo, Cart Away Several Bags Filled With Money In Broad Daylight

The Edo State Police Command says not less than seven persons were killed in the robbery attack on four banks in Uromi, the headquarters of Esan North-East Local Government Area of the state.

The Spokesman of the Edo State Police Command, Kontongs Bello, told journalists that seven persons comprising five civilians and two policemen were killed in the attacks on the four banks.

He said, “Total casualty now seven. Five civilians and two policemen”, Kontongs said

Suspected daredevil armed robbers had attacked four banks: Zenith Bank, First Bank, Unity Bank and the United Bank for Africa, and carted away an undisclosed amount of money.

Video of the attack that is trending online shows the robbers blocking the road and operating undisturbed , shooting in the air while carrying several bags of money and stocking them in their standby car.
