FRCN Senior Staff Members At The Service Of Song

One of the strongest voices on the Radio Nigeria Airwaves, Mrs. Comfort Agbai recently lost her father, Chief Okon Ekpo.

Radio Nigeria is the popular name for the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Nigeria’s public sector radio network with over 40 FM stations spread across the country and a network that reaches the entire nation and beyond.

Comfort, apart from being a powerful announcer on Metro FM, one of the three FM stations under Lagos Operations of FRCN, is the presenter of the popular audience participatory programme on Metro, “I beg Una”.

The Service of Songs in honour of late Chief Okon Ekpo was held at Surelere, Lagos and well attended by family members and colleagues, especially co-workers of Mrs. Comfort Agbai at Radio Nigeria, Lagos who polled powerful delegation of very senior officer.

The newly appointed General Manger of Metro FM, Mrs. Ifeoma Okpala in a Facebook publication listed the attendees from Radio Nigeria to include very senior officers in the various departments including News and Current Affairs; Marketing, Programmes and Finance.

The delegation also had a highly celebrated retired FRCN Staff member, Mrs. Ndidi Osaka, who was the presenter of “I beg Una” during her years in service with the corporation.

Meanwhile, online users have been reaching out to the veteran broadcaster, Comfort, as they dropped condolences messages, while praying to God to grant her the fortitude to bear the loss.
