Yul And Rita Edochie Join Calls For Release of #NnamdiKanu

Two veterans in the Nigerian Movie industry, Rita Edochie and Yul Edochie have asked the Nigerian Government to release the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu without further delay.

The movie starts from Anambra State, noted that Kanu is not and has never been the problem of the country.

Their opinions were highlighted on their social media pages.

Yul while reacting on the postponement of the trial of the IPOB leader to April 8, said unless Government changed its strategy of dealing with agitations, by resorting to dialogue, the nation will not enjoy lasting peace.

He pointed out that to keep the country peaceful and united, the authorities must be willing to listen to the people not using force to intimidate and silence them.

On her part, Mrs. Rita Edochie stated categorically that the problem of Nigerian lies with the system and not Nnamdi Kanu.

She also disagreed with the nation’s lawmakers over their stance that Nollywood was contributing to the rising incidents of ritual killings in the country

Meanwhile, DSS has clarified its reason for denying Kanu the opportunity to wear a new clothe when appearing in court.

It said Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wanted to put on the prestigious “Isiagu” wear, which according to the service will amount to intimidating Government; so it denied him.
