ABSU Toes The Path Of Nekede, Bans Students From Driving Inside Campus

Memo issued today by ABSU Management

The Management of Abia State University, ABSU, Uturu, Abia State today, February, 1, issued a memo banning students from driving personal vehicles “and fragrant display of wealth on campus’.

The management in the memo written on a letter headed paper, bearing the name of the school’s Vice Chancellor, Pro. Onyemaechi M. Ogbulu, and signed by its Register, Acho Elendu, threatened to visit with severe disciplinary action, any student that violates the directive.

It said, “Management of Abia State University, Uturu, has banned the use of personal vehicles by students and fragrant display of wealth into the campus.

“Henceforth, only staff and accredited visitors would be allowed to drive their vehicles into the campus.

“Any student who violates this directive, which is in the interest of the university community shall face severe disciplinary action.

This is coming after the management of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri in Imo State had on Friday, 28th January 2022, banned students from entering the school with their personal vehicles , in addition to prohibiting them from flamboyant lifestyle within the polytechnic environment
