The free Cleft lip and pallate surgery is part of activities marking the 80th birthday of the General Overseer, GO, Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

It is a project of Good Smile Africa Advocacy Initiative and Smile Train, in partnership with Redeemers Health Centre.

Cleft lip and cleft palate are birth defects that occur when a baby’s lip or mouth do not form properly during pregnancy. Together, these birth defects commonly are called “orofacial clefts”. Reports say a cleft lip happens if the tissue that makes up the lip does not join completely before birth. This results in an opening in the upper lip. The opening in the lip can be a small slit or it can be a large opening that goes through the lip into the nose.

According to a flier on the free cleft lip and pallate surgery for children in commemoration of Pastor Adeboye’s birthday, the condition “is not a curse or evil spirit. Anybody with cleft can be helped”, it added.

It instructs that anyone who is interested in the free surgery should send the name of the affected child to the following mobile phone lines- 07052924071; 08036936111; 08062169266 and 08064004689.

The time for the surgery is 8 am daily.

Adeboye turns 80 on the 2nd of March.

A coalition of prominent God sons and daughters of Pastor Enoch Adeboye”, had launched an “80 Days Soul Winning Challenge to win 8 million new souls between December 13th , 2021 and March 2nd 2022 to celebrate the icon at 80.

According to the organisers, the 8 million new souls being executed under the theme, REACH4CHRIST, is a birthday gift “to a man who has dedicated the major part of his adult life to soul-winning”.
