The secretary of the state government of Kano State Alhaji Usman Alhaji has officially handed over documents of power to the Kano Governor Elect Engineer Abba Kabir Yusif during a ceremony that took place at Government House Kano.
He said on behalf of the outgoing governor Alhaji Umar Ganduje comprehensive handing-over notes had been provided in ensuring that the incoming administration has all the necessary details which will serve as a reference.
He said Kano state has the largest workforce in terms of public service which have 62,986,000.
Ganduje maintained that funds remain the major challenge of running government activities, he hoped that the incoming administration will make adequate use of the documents.
The outgoing governor noted that his administration had put in place several infrastructures within the metropolitan , improved the education,health and vocational training .
He added that in terms of enhancing security much have been achieved by his administration, saying that was the secret of kano being one of the most peaceful state in the federation.

Responding the Kano Governor Elect Engineer Abba Kabir Yusif thanked Almighty GOD for the opportunity he accorded on them to govern the affairs of the state.
He said he was very surprised on the departure of the democratic process, saying the out going governor was supposed to hand over the affairs of the state by himself as it was the tradition of democracy.
Engineer Abba Kabir decried that the Handing over notes was very scanty , however they will do their best to ensure that the people of Kano were governed well.

Engineer Abba Kabir yusif added that his Administration will go through the handing over notes and will act were necessary.
“we are not hear to loot money , we are here to work for the people and insha Allah we will succeed.”. Engineer Abba Kabir added
