Lagos Sweepers Evacuate Abandoned Wastes For Buhari’s Visit

All the gathered municipal wastes around Mile Two bus-stop including those abandoned long ago have disappeared this morning as street sweepers in charge of the area have been working round the clock to keep the surroundings tidy in preparation for the president’s visit today.

President Mohammadu Buhari who arrived yesterday on a two day official visit in Lagos is expected to inaugurate the first phase of the Lagos Blue rail project at the Mile Two terminal.

Buzzministry observed that since yesterday evening till this morning, the sweepers have been at their duty posts doing what they know how to do best.

Mile Two on the Lagos Badagry Expressway is among the most popular places in Lagos. It is in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The event venue which is exactly at the Mile Two train station has been colourful decorated ,and military and paramilitary officials on ground to maintain security as well as control traffic.

Sighted were officials of the Nigerian Police, LASTMA, Lagos Neighbourhood Watch, Mopol and others

As at 9 am , large crowds of Lagosians had converged on the mile two bus stop to witness the event and most especially catch a glimpse of Buhari who might be visiting the state for the last time granted that his tenure elapses in a few months.

Meanwhile, traders that used to block the road median were nowhere to be found this morning after they were allegedly drove away by military personnel.
