Train Services along the Warri Itakpe rail corridor has been suspended.
Co- odinator of the service,Mr.Sanni Abdulganiyu, in a release said this is due to the derailment that occured at km 30 of the corridor.
He however categorically said there were neither fatalities nor injuries,as men of the Police, NSCDC,and community vigilante were drafted to evacuate the 148 passengers and 30 crew member.
He further stated that arrangements were made to take passengers to their destinations.
Abdulganiyu added that the cause of the derailment was yey to be ascertained while resumption of the service would be announced in due course after repair and maintenance works are completed.
