President Buhari To Arrive Lagos 1:30 pm Today

President Mohammadu Buhari is expected to arrive Lagos at 1:30 in the afternoon today, Monday 23rd January 2023.

His visit is to inaugurate projects by the Lagos State government

They include:

  1. The Lekki Deep Sea Port, a multipurpose public private Partnership project located in the heart of the Lagos Free zone.

Constructed with one point five billion dollars, the Lekki Deep Sea Port is the largest seaport in the country as of today and one of the biggest in West Africa

Yesterday, One of the largest container vessels berthed at the port showing the readiness of the port for seamless operation and services.

With its capacity for liquid, dry bulk and container terminal, It is expected that the Lekki Deep Sea Port will transform the way goods are transported and traded not just in Nigeria alone, but across Africa.

2.From the Deep Sea Port, the President will move by helicopter to Imota in Ikorodu axis of the State to Inaugurate the Imota Rice Mill, also the biggest in Nigeria as of today.

The Rice mill will be producing over two million 50 kilograms bags of rice per year and it is expected to impact on the lives of Lagosians.

Rice farmers in Nigeria are in for a good time as they will easily mill their paddies into internationally acceptable standard, and the Rice mill will also be a great source of revenue for rice traders in Lagos and all over the country.

President Buhari will also inaugurate a private sector factory in Apapa and will be hosted to a banquet by Governor Sanwo-Olu and his wife later tonight.

Radio Nigeria reports that tomorrow, President Buhari will be inaugurating the John Randle Centre for Yoruba culture and history, and the first phase of the Lagos Blue rail, while also witnessing the signing of the contract for the take off of the second phase of the light rail.
