PDP Approaches Court To Disqualify Tinubu Over Alleged Drug Dealing

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approached a court in an attempt to disqualify the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) aSenator Bola Tinubu from contesting the 2023 election.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, a Spokesperson for the PDP Presidential Candidate, Mr. Kola Ologbodiyan said they want the court to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to delete the name of Senator Tinubu from the candidates list as he was allegedly convicted in a US court over drug deals.

The APC had earlier dismissed the claims by the PDP describing it as diversionary.

Both the APC and the PDP Presidential candidates have been accusing themselves of various crimes ahead of the election taking place on the twenty fifth of next month.

Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has restated his plan to restructure the country, saying that the people of the Niger Delta need the initiative more than any other part of the country.

Speaking in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on in the latest leg of his presidential campaign, he vowed to ensure then devolution of more resources and power to the region to make them less reliant on the federal government.

In a related development, the Director of Strategic Communications of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Chief Dele Momudu has predicted a win for the presidential candidate of the party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar saying that he has support across the country.

Chief Momodu in an opinion piece released to journalists in Abuja said Atiku would be the first to cross the line of recording 25 percent in 24 states and would also get 25 percent automatically in the 19 states of the Northern Regions as well as will pick six in the South-South.
