Makaman Katsina District Head of Bakori

The Katsina Emirate Council has dismissed the Makaman Katsina, District Head of Bakori, Alhaji Idris Sule, for allegedly aiding armed banditry in his domain.

The dismissal was contained in a letter signed by Kauran Katsina, District Head of Rimi, Alhaji Aminu Nuhu Abdulkadir who is a principal member of the Emirate Council.

The letter noted that the monarch was dismissed after a state government committee found him guilty of charges of aiding armed banditry as leveled against him by his people.

“Following a letter the emirate council received from the office of the Secretary to the Government of the State in which the Executive Governor confirmed that the allegations levelled against you are true.

“The issues raised against you have led to disruption of peace in your area, the Emirate Council therefore wishes to inform you that you have been relieved of your duties as Makaman Katsina, District Head of Bakori,” the letter read.
