In one of the attacks that has been trending on social media, Mbaka described Mr. Obi as a very stingy man, who would never win the election because of his stinginess, unless he pleads for his forgiveness.

“My only anger against Peter Obi is that he is stingy but goes at back to give some people money. He knows those that he gives big money. Peter Obi will fail woefully unless he apologises to me”, said Mbaka.

This has been wildly condemned, with people wondering why such could come from a priest, even as many had called on the Catholic church to impose serious sanctions on him as a way of checking his excesses.

Angered by the development, the Catholic Diocese of Enugu in a letter said it distanced itself from the priest and warned him to always exercise restrain in his utterances. According to the church the actions of the priest are far from the teachings of Catholic church and the Adoration Ministry host should seize from hitting up the polity with his uncharitable and inciting outbursts on the Labour party presidential aspirant.
