Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap in mercy….for it is time to seek the Lord” Hosea 10:12.
Hosea’s story is the story of God’s faithfulness and love for unfaithful human beings. In what seems strange to us, God commanded Hosea to marry a woman who eventually abandoned her home and went into harlotry. At a later time, he was asked to take her back as his wife. The grace of God was not exhausted even in their wrongdoing.
In a grace filled exhortation, he said “Sow in righteousness, and reap in mercy, break up your fallow ground for it is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and reigns righteousness on you.”
Beloved of God, what ever we have ploughed, may God show us mercy.
May His love never elude us.
His love for us will not be covered by our iniquities.
Repent and let righteousness speak for us today in Jesus name. Amen
