Fear Of IPOB Lockdown: Interstate Transporters In Lagos Avoid SE

Today, lots of people that came to Maza-Maza interstate motor park to board vehicle or send parcels to the South East (SE) part of the country, were left stranded as transporters said they were avoiding the region because of the lockdown often observed across Igboland every Monday.

According to the transporters, service to the region would resume tomorrow.

It is believed that the persistence of lockdown in South East allegedly championed by members of the Indigenes People of Biafra,IPOB, has adversely affected the economy of the region. IPOB had vowed that the lockdown would continue unless its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is released unconditionally.

However all hope is not lost as the newly sworn-on Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo has promised to intervene by granting amnesty to the agitators.

Many hope this commendable move by Governor Soludo would yield the desired result and bring lasting peace to Igboland.
