Lions Club Steps-Up Blood Donation Campaign

In its bid to support Lagos State Blood Transfusion Service (LSBTS) to meet its target of 260,000 units annually, Lions Club International has stepped up a campaign for voluntary blood donation among citizens.

The humanitarian organisation showed its commitment to supporting the agency with mobilisation of its members from District 404A1, Region 4 & 5, Ikorodu for voluntary blood donation at their Lions Submit held in the area over the weekend.

The awareness campaign/ voluntary blood donation was organised in partnership with LSBTS, with the theme: “Every blood donor is a life saver”,

Pledging the organisation support for the agency, President of Eko Centennial Lions club’, District 404A1, Region 4, Lion Oyebanjo Muhammed, said the club is aware of the target of the state on blood donation, and they are ready to work with an agency in making its dream comes to reality.

Muhammed said Eko Centennial Lions club decided to prove the club’s commitment to a course of supporting the agency in meeting and surpassing its target with mobilisation of members from regions 4 & 5 in Ikorodu for that purpose.
