Hundreds of youths who go by the name “Earth Environment Climate Care Ambassadors” today stormed popular areas in Ikeja, Lagos in a rally to sensitise the public on the need to plant more trees and protect existing forests.
They believe that tree planting and protection of forests are key efforts to drive home the theme of this year’s International Day of Forests which is “Forests and sustainable Production and consumption”.
After visiting some strategic places in Ikeja, the state capital, they proceeded to the State Assembly in Alausa where they officially made their demands and ended the exercise.
