Nigeria’s Cocoa Industry Receives Boost As CRIN Expands Value Chain With New Products

The Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN) has come up with assorted edibles from cocoa being the product of its latest research aimed at expanding the value chain for more job and wealth creation in the country.

CRIN believes “the uptake of these products will promote agribusiness and livelihood activities of Lagos and Nigeria”.

The newly developed research products are to be unveiled at a public function in Lagos on Wednesday, 23rd March.

According to CRIN in a release “the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria CRIN Ibadan hereby introduces the following developed research products to business men and women, investors, youths, organisations, lagosians and the general public for uptake.

” They include Cocoa Bread, Cocoa powder, Cocoa wine, Kola wine, Coffee wine, Cashew wine and Tea wine. Others are Chocolate, Choco Gari, Cocoa Butter cream, Liquid soap etc. The uptake of these products will promote agribusiness and livelihood activities of Lagos and Nigeria”.

Holding between 10am and 6pm at Jara Mall, Ikeja, the event is expected to parade dignitaries including the Commissioner for Agriculture Lagos State and Executive Director CRIN, Dr. Patrick Adebola.
