We were once God’s enemies but now reconciled with Him through Christ’s death and resurrection. Romans 5:9-10.
Now, we are indeed God’s friends. Since we were the ones who broke the friendship in the first place, it is our duty to initiate the reconciliation through genuine repentance. Jesus describes His reconciling work by the following words “Greater love has no one than this, to lay down ones life for his friends” John 15:13.
Beloved of God, as friends of God, we have a unique position in His heart.
He celebrates us, but are we truly His own in spirit and in truth?
We can ask Him to come to us now and He will.
May His faithfulness encompass us and His overwhelming love shine along our paths in Jesus Mighty name we pray. Amen
