The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, has shifted forward the date for written promotion interview of certain grades of its workers, earlier scheduled for Wednesday , 16th February, same day that the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is billed to appear in court.
A statement sent to FRCN offices says the postponement follows challenges in South East region as a result of the continued detention and trial of the IPOB leader.
The statement reads, “In view of peculiar challenges in South East on Wednesday, 16th February, 2022 management has decided to shift the written test from 16th to Friday, 18th February, 2022. This is for Grade Levels 07-10. Please accept apologies over the inconveniences the shift in date would have caused you. Thanks for your understanding”.
It is gathered that following the Wednesday trial, there will be no movement in the region as sit-at-home order is often enforced in Igboland any day that Nnamdi Kanu appears in Court.
This is in addition to every Monday sit-at-home in the region which had been on for months now. The order which enjoys the massive support of the masses in the region is their way of showing solidarity to the freedom fighter as well as pressing for his unconditional release from detention.
