NURTW Members Clash Again In Lagos

   The National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, has for years being a source of headache to Nigerians, especially in Lagos.

On several occasions, factions of the union had taken each other in deadly fight,leading to the escalation of violence , fears and anxiety in neighbourhoods.

Just yesterday, Friday some arm wielding members of unnamed factions of the union again disrupted public peace in Agbado area of Lagos, as they fought themselves with gun shots heard.

Those that witnessed it said there was pandemonium in most parts of Agbado, Alimosho Local Government Area on the Friday morning when two factions of the clashed violently.

It was gathered that road users and passersby scampered for safety when the two warring factions violently engaged each other.

Although full details of the fight is yet to be made known to the public, initial investigation revealed that the conflict like in most past incidents was as a result of disagreement over ticket collection at the parks.

Lagosians and Nigerians in general will be a lot happier if superior authorities can find a way of stopping the incessant fights by NURTW members.
