Lagos Governor Puts Smiles On The Faces Of Maza-Maza Residents

As He Promises To Reconstruct Long Abandoned Old Ojo Road

Governor of Lagos State on Wednesday, 9 February, 2022 paid a working visit to Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of state , during which he inaugurated a newly constructed health centre.

But the greatest excitement of the people in the visit was when the governor promised them that we would soon reconstruct the Old Ojo Road, which has been in terrible state for years

Maza-Maza residents have been thinking that government abandonment of the strategic road for too long, could be because they had voted massively for the major opposition party in past elections.

But with the promise of the governor, the joy of the people knows no bounds.

Governor, Sanwo-Olu promised residents of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government and Oriade Local Council Development Area that his administration would reconstruct the old Ojo road to complement the ongoing construction of the Lagos Badagry Expressway.

Recounting the many infrastructural development projects already carried out in the Council areas by his administration, especially in the transportation sector, Governor Sanwo-Olu inaugurated a primary health centre constructed by the Chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area, Mr Valentine Buraimoh to mark his second year in office.

Mr. Sanwo-Olu
urged residents of the area to make judicious use of the health centre.

“The completion of this health centre is a commendable achievement that perfectly aligns with our administration’s T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda to prioritise provision of quality healthcare for our residents.The vision is reaping the dividends as seen in the quality of people-oriented projects being delivered to the people of Amuwo-Odofin by the chairman. The modern healthcare facility is what our vision for infrastructural renewal of our State looks like. With high-impact projects that cut across many communities and improves quality of life and the ability to earn a legitimate living, Amuwo-Odofin’s landscape is changing for good.” he said

Remarking, Amuwo LGA Chairman, Mr Valentine Buraimoh said the health Centre which was named after Senator Oluremi Tinubu also includes a functional dedicated electric transformer and an alternative standby 24/7 power supply generating plant to meet the need of not just the Council areas, but also those close by.

The health centre has a male and female Wards, Delivery/Labour Ward, Laboratory Diagnostic and Mini-Theatre, Tuberculosis/HIV screening rooms, Consulting rooms as well as
Nurses/Doctors rest/changing rooms and Medical records point.
